Am I overreacting by seeking legal help for a work issue?

You might think:

  • Other people seem fine.
  • I don’t want to cause trouble.

A useful test

Ask yourself:

  • Would I be comfortable if this happened to a friend?
  • Has this situation caused stress, anxiety, or sleep disruption?
  • Do I feel uncertain about my rights?
  • Is there financial risk involved?

If the answer to any of those is yes, it’s reasonable to at least explore your options.

 

Seeking advice doesn’t mean you’re dramatic.

It means you want clarity.

You’re not committing to:

  • Making a claim.
  • Leaving your job.
  • Demanding a settlement.

You’re simply asking ‘Do I have rights here? And what are they?’

There is nothing unreasonable about that.
