I am deeply passionate about giving employees a voice when they are being unfairly treated by an employer, especially as the bargaining power without my help is often uneven.

About Adam Cooke
During the early part of my employment law journey I was lucky enough to work on developing the defence of one of the UK’s leading supermarket’s equal pay claims. This gave me a broad understanding of employment law and the effect it can have on people from all different backgrounds, the consequences of not implementing it correctly can have on them, as well as the impact on organisations responsible for not doing so.
Throughout my time training to be a lawyer and subsequent qualification, I have worked 1-on-1 with vulnerable adults as a sessional advocate, providing a voice for them in relation to their employment issues, welfare and housing rights, supporting their subsequent mental heal issues and developing their day-to-day life skills. Through this work and my employment experience, my passion grew for providing a voice for individuals in unfair situations that are not being provided with adequate protection by the organisations they work for.
I have a particular interest in supporting those who had pre-existing mental health conditions or have developed mental health issues as a result of the treatment they have been subjected to by their employer. I walk my clients through every step of the process, providing clear, concise and most importantly, realistic, advice.
I lead my negotiations with respect and courtesy, but I am very firm and act with an intuitive nature. I have substantial experience in navigating complex legal situations to get my clients the best packages possible. I regularly advise on complex discrimination and harassment matters, as well as whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, redundancy, breach of contract and TUPE. I also have particular experience in negotiating swift termination packages for senior executives from their employers, which will include their basic remuneration package and any share-option, share purchase and restrictive covenant issues that they may be facing.
