Grapple AI: Helping employees resolve work disputes
Are you being unfairly treated at work and want to resolve your problems? Meet Grapple, a clever digital tool dedicated to creating legal letters and other documents to help you do just that.
Whether you’re aiming to put right your workplace issues and stay in your job, or want to leave with a financial deal, Grapple can help. It’s based on artificial intelligence (AI), and benefits from the input of a team of expert (human) employment law solicitors, working alongside top tech innovators at Monaco Solicitors.
How can Grapple help you?
Grapple can craft a variety of personalised legal documents which are tailored to your unique situation, and which you can use to help resolve your problems at work. For example:
- If you’re in the early stages of a disagreement with your employer, Grapple can help you ‘raise a grievance’ by drafting a grievance letter from you to your employer. The letter sets out what you are complaining about and the actions you’d like to see taken to resolve your complaint.
- Should your workplace problem just get worse, Grapple can create a ‘without prejudice letter’ (a type of legal communication used to settle disputes out of court) from you to your employer. You can send the letter as part of your negotiations for financial compensation and a settlement.
If you reach a point where you and your employer can’t resolve your dispute informally, you may have to go to an employment tribunal. Grapple can draft the details of your claim, for you to include in your employment tribunal claim form.
Grapple has other facilities as well, such as a legal review of your case, legal tools for collecting evidence to support your case, and legal letter-writing in reply to your employer’s responses to your letters. Additional resources are currently being developed to enhance the Grapple library.
Who can benefit from using Grapple?
- If you’re an individual trying to deal with unfair treatment at work, and if you’d like some help to realise your employment rights, then Grapple is for you.
It’s particularly useful if you can’t afford a lawyer but need affordable legal help to get access to the justice you deserve, or if you can’t find a lawyer prepared to take on your case because it may not be worth their while.
It’s also showing promise as a useful tool for professional legal people, to help them reduce the time they spend drafting legal documents.
Using Grapple is simple
Grapple is accessible via laptop, iPad, smartphone or any other device with internet access. You simply type grapple.uk in the browser of your device.
You don’t need technical or legal know-how to use Grapple. Its user interface (what you see on the screen) is simple and uncluttered, and the guidance you need to use it is written in plain, non-legal English.
The Grapple experience
1] After the introduction, you’re presented with a selection of the legal letters and documents that Grapple offers. There’s a short explanation of the purpose of each document, backed up by an excellent FAQ/help page.
2] When you select the document you want to create, Grapple asks you a few questions about your employment situation and briefly to outline your case.
3] Based on your input, Grapple generates a letter or other document suited to your case and needs. If it’s a letter to your employer, you can send it off. Or you can use the other Grapple documents in the ways outlined, to improve your chances of being successful in resolving your case.
