About Marc Jones

I am partner at Monaco Solicitors.

I have specialised in all areas of employment law for over 25 years, with extensive experience in dealing with whistleblowing, discrimination, executive terminations and employment tribunal claims.

I am passionate about what I do in getting the best for my clients.

I qualified as a barrister before transferring to become a solicitor.

I act for directors, employees, workers, partners and independent contractors. This has included both employment and commercial-related disputes in the employment tribunal, county court and High Court, which has ranged from, amongst other things, TUPE and boardroom disputes to restrictive covenants and non-employment discrimination.  I also provide advice on employment data protection issues and IR35.

I have acted as solicitor/advocate in employment tribunals, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and the Court of Appeal. Some of these cases have been reported in legal journals and the media.

My experience as an advocate provides my clients with additional expertise when it comes to employment tribunals and strategies for the most complex cases.

I am the only solicitor in the country who provides free representation to appellants as part of the Employment Law Appeal Advice Scheme (ELAAS) at the Employment Appeal Tribunal in England.

I am sought out by individuals for my experience and I am a trusted adviser to them.

My clients praise me for my prompt and commercial approach in dealing with issues.

I am a qualified workplace mediator.

I am the Editor of the Employment Lawyers’ Association’s “ELA Briefing” and sit on the Association’s management committee.
