Last year the Ministry of Justice announced that the government would stop charging Employment Tribunal (ET) fees and that steps would be made to refund payments made since 2013. This was the result of a judgement by the Supreme Court that everyone should have affordable access to the justice system.
Since October of 2017 9472 applications for the fee refund have been made. Out of these 7733 have been accepted. In addition between January and March of 2018 single claim receipts increased by 118%.
